Ron Burley is a banking, finance and insurance executive with over 25 years of experience holding various sales, operations and leadership positions. He currently is a Senior Vice President and Branch Operations Manager with United Bank. In this position he works with over 220 branches and 3,000 employees from Maryland to South Carolina. A primary focus in this role is the balancing of technology and human skills to create consistent customer focused experiences. Ron has previously worked for Capital One Bank, Chevy Chase Bank and State Farm Insurance and served on the Board of Directors of United Brokerage.
A primary focus for Ron has been the empowering of bank associates through training and technology. This important balance has assisted with recruitment, retention and the promotability of bank associates. Working with various bank partners such as Training, Human Resources and Information Technology Ron’s team has created policies and procedures which place a primary focus on each employee to create high impact customer experiences.
Ron graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Economics and received his MBA from the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. He is a graduate of the Virginia School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia.
He is very active with the Rotary Club of Frederick, Maryland and has been a Junior Achievement volunteer for over 30 years. Ron currently resides in Middletown, Maryland with his wife of 22 years and has two children, Morgan who is a Junior at Gettysburg College and Sam who passed in 2012.
