Mary Garcia serves as the Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, and Talent at Hagerty, where she leads the strategic initiatives to enhance diversity, civic engagement, and foster a culture of belonging across the organization. Her efforts are dedicated to continuously improving the employee experience and creating an inclusive environment where every individual’s unique perspectives and contributions are valued.

With over 20 years of experience, Mary is a seasoned leader passionate about driving diversity, elevating employee engagement, and spearheading corporate social responsibility initiatives that align with both organizational goals and societal impact. Her career is marked by a commitment to building robust diversity programs and cultivating a culture of engagement that supports the overall success of the company.

Before joining Hagerty, Mary applied her expertise in talent assessment, curriculum development, recruitment, process improvement, human resources, and DEI consulting to collaborate with global organizations such as Hilton, General Mills, CPA Global, Lockheed Martin, and Oracle. She played a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative talent solutions that advanced their diversity priorities and supported business objectives.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Texas Woman’s University. She also completed Executive Education in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida Atlantic University and earned a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida-Muma College of Business. Additionally, she is a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory, a tool designed to measure and enhance intercultural competence.

Active in her community, Mary serves on the Harvard Business Review - Advisory Council Member, ISG Events Advisory Board, Keller ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors - Vice Chair, is a member of the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce, a founding member of Hacking HR’s Expert Council, and participates in several DEI committees, including Traverse Connect, Business Leaders for Michigan, and the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.
