Michael is the Americas Consulting, Strategy and Client Centricity Leader. In this role, he leads Cognizant Consulting, which focuses on transforming clients’ businesses through cross-cutting industry knowledge and deep technology and process expertise. Michael is responsible for crafting the overall strategic plan for Cognizant Consulting, bringing together the market elements, commercial offerings and advisory capabilities into a cohesive strategy, including the overall M&A strategy. He is focused on enhancing Cognizant’s focus on client centricity in North America, including the account model and coverage.

Michael joined Cognizant from IBM Consulting where he was the Senior Client Partner on the Vodafone/IBM Cloud Venture. This venture focused on innovative market solutions bringing together the connectivity and multicloud strengths of the two organizations.

Prior to that, he was the Leader for Client Centricity and Transformation, IBM GBS. In this role, he was responsible for the global strategy for GBS clients and programs, including client experience, client selection, and the deployment and use of Net Promoter Scores. He was accountable directly to the SVP of GBS for the recent end to end reshaping of the consulting business,

Michael has held various other leadership roles in IBM and PwC including serving as the Managing Partner for the Communication Sector of GBS and the Global Energy and Utilities Leader. In his Communications Sector role, he managed the strategy, execution and P&L of the business and technology consulting services provided to Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment and Energy & Utility companies. In his Energy and Utilities leadership capacity, he was responsible for the strategy, development, go to market and delivery execution of industry based consulting and solutions.

Michael has 35 years of experience serving clients in a variety of roles. He attended St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia and advanced leadership training at Harvard University and Emory University.
